Bio

Susan Solomon is a freelance paintress living in the beautiful Twin Cities of Minneapolis/Saint Paul. She grew up in Las Vegas, where blazing sunsets and neon firmly influenced her color sense. Susan eventually moved to Philadelphia, receiving formal art education and graduating from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.

Susan is now a longtime resident of Minnesota, surrounded by subtle color and the spacious Midwest landscape. Her paintings focus on the search for a light in the dark. The vehicle is landscape. Susan is devoted to recurring images of sky, prairie, water, birds. Her paintings blend landscape & memory, geography and intuition. Over the past few years she has collaborated with poets and fiction writers, painting the impressions their words leave. Literature is its own landscape and an endless source of inspiration.

She is represented by:
FrameWorks Gallery, Lanesboro Arts, and Gallery 360 Minneapolis.
